First I would like to thank other committee members for all their help, in particular Jenny Ball. In addition to this we have some new committee members, Erling Holmberg (southern rep) Gordon Deuce, Dave Warnock both general committee members & our new treasurer Nigel James. George Love is back for a one-off special helping to co-ordinate our 40th year celebrations. more.. |

275) Event News: Summer Series Sport Nationals at North Devon Yacht Club - Race Report (Article Published: 23rd September 2018 at 14:10 pm) Thirty-nine Sprint 15 sailors gathered at the home of the North Devon Yacht Club at Instow on Friday the 14th September for the Sport Nationals – the two day regatta for single-handed Sprint 15 catamarans with main, jib and trapeze. This was the highest turnout in almost 10 years, with a record 8 youth sailors. more.. |
276) Event News: Summer Series TT at Marconi Sailing Club - Race Report (Article Published: 15th April 2018 at 23:28 pm) 27 competitors took part in the first 40th Anniversary Sprint 15 Summer TT at Marconi SC on 14th and 15th April including an impressive home turnout of 13 boats. We were also pleased to welcome Nigel and Fiona Denchfield as guest Races Officers for the event. In addition to the racing, we welcomed the winner of our competition at the Dinghy Show for a cat coaching session with Brian from Windsport. As forecast, there was no wind in the morning but with a light breeze forecast for later in the afternoon it was decided to postpone racing for an hour. With the AP dropped ashore, the fleet headed out to the race area off picturesque Osea Island in a pleasantly mild afternoon with a light breeze. more.. |

280) Event News: Summer Series Teach-in at Marconi Sailing Club - Race Report (Article Published: 7th April 2018 at 17:16 pm)Nine boats took part in the Sprint 15 Teach In at Marconi on Saturday 7th April led by David Ball and Chris Tillyer. We were particularly pleased to welcome Armin from Brightlingsea who has just bought Gordon Deuce’s boat and ventured to Marconi for his first ever Sprint 15 sail. Also joining us was Jemma Clarke from Marconi who had her first proper sail in a Sprint 15, alongside her Dad and her brother and we hope she will join the fleet too! Donald Sloan travelled down from Felixtowe Ferry as did Rob Wilson from Stone – together with a home fleet. more.. |
